Tomorrowland has been voted the world’s No. 1 festival for the sixth time, following a record-breaking voting period in the annual global poll of music festivals.

The poll, which ran from 22 April to 17 June, saw more fans worldwide participate than ever before.

Held each summer in Boom, Belgium, Tomorrowland draws approximately 400,000 visitors across two weekends. The site operates as a temporary festival city with more than a dozen stages and hundreds of artists performing daily.

Founders on the Sixth Win

“Being voted The World’s No.1 Festival for a sixth consecutive year is an incredible honour and something we never take for granted,”

said founders Michiel and Manu Beers. They noted that the recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the voice of the global electronic music community.

“For everyone involved in Tomorrowland, it is both a compliment and a motivation. It acknowledges the passion, creativity and dedication of thousands of people who work throughout the year to bring the festival to life. At the same time, it challenges us to keep raising the bar, to continue innovating, surprising the festivalgoers and finding new ways to tell our story. Every edition starts with the ambition to create something even more magical than the year before.”

Innovation and Sustainability

In 2025, the festival introduced RFID smart cups to enable a fully circular reusable system and launched the Lab of Tomorrow, a forward-thinking innovation hub.

“Technology should enhance the magic, not replace it, and we are constantly exploring new ways to achieve that balance,”

the founders explained. They added that the team listens closely to feedback from guests, artists, partners and crews, and evaluates every aspect of the experience without assuming past success guarantees future results.

“We invest in discovering emerging talent, creating innovative experiences and exploring new technologies, while always staying true to the values that have defined Tomorrowland from the beginning: unity, creativity and bringing people together from all over the world.”

2025 Lineup and Avicii Tribute

The 2025 edition featured a bill spanning the biggest names in electronic music and emerging talent. Performers included:

  • Anyma
  • Armin van Buuren
  • Alok
  • Amber Broos
  • Charlotte De Witte
  • Sara Landry
  • Shimza

  • Job Jobse
  • Swedish House Mafia
  • HAAi
  • The Blessed Madonna
  • LSDXOXO
  • David Guetta

  • Funk Tribu

Ten years after his final Tomorrowland performance, the festival also launched Avicii Forever, an immersive on-site installation featuring rare studio archives and remastered sets dedicated to the late artist’s legacy.

Digital Audience Breaks Records

Fans at home could watch non-stop broadcasts from the Mainstage and Freedom Stage via YouTube, TikTok and the official Tomorrowland app. The 2025 edition became the most watched to date, with over 74 million unique live viewers on TikTok alone across the two weekends.

2026 Preview

Looking ahead, the founders described Tomorrowland 2026 as the start of a new chapter. A new Consciencia Mainstage will debut, described as one of the most ambitious creative projects in the festival’s history. The concept will also travel to Tomorrowland events in Thailand and Brazil.

“There are always a few surprises that we prefer to keep secret until the festival begins, but visitors can definitely expect some very special moments. We are excited to welcome Calvin Harris for the first time, alongside a number of unique back-to-back performances and exclusive collaborations.”

Overcoming the Mainstage Fire

In 2025, the festival faced a major crisis when the Mainstage was destroyed by fire shortly before opening, forcing a rapid rebuild and a full-scale operational response. The incident prompted a detailed post-event review and adjustments to safety and planning.

“The events leading up to Tomorrowland 2025 were undoubtedly among the most challenging moments in our history,”

the founders said. They credited the strength and dedication of teams, partners, suppliers, artists, local authorities and emergency services who worked together under extraordinary circumstances.
